WINNIPEG, MB: Peg City Fence Pros has announced that it is ending its outdoor fencing season to focus on providing indoor fencing and storage fencing.
Winter presents a number of challenges for outdoor fence building. As the ground freezes, it becomes more difficult to drive posts deeply enough to build a stable structure for the fence. For wooden fences, it also becomes nearly impossible to paint; the low temperature inhibits the necessary curing process.
The fencing season has been longer in 2025 than in some previous years, thanks to an unseasonably warm November. With much lower temperatures predicted throughout December and snow on the ground, Peg City Fence Pros has wrapped up its outdoor fencing season. It will begin installing outdoor fences again in the Spring of 2026.
During the winter season, Peg City Fence Pros continues to provide indoor fencing solutions. Chain link fences are used in warehouses for storage, and athletic facilities can use fences to create boundaries between play fields; as such, fencing contractors like Peg City Fence Pros stay open even in the winter months.
